I’m a Fulbright Scholar, former McKinsey consultant, and have a bunch of degrees from fancy schools. But I’m also the daughter of a Peruvian nanny who somehow kept us healthy on a shoestring budget. My aunt spent 40+ years cleaning homes with chemicals and is now in the ICU. These stories aren’t abstract—they’re why I write.
